A conversation about Storytelling for Earthly Survival

An interview with musicians and sound artists Emma Welton and Tony Whitehead from A Quiet Night In, about their contribution to the event Storytelling for Earthly Survival. On 23rd May 2019 we screened the documentary film of the same name by Fabrizio Terranova about eco feminist scholar Donna Haraway. Emma and Tony’s work framed the event with a new, participatory sound composition ‘Composed by Bees’. The event was generously hosted by Princesshay, who also run a city centre apiary. I spoke to bee keeper Jason Wallis and Operations Manager Andy Littlejohns about how they run their city centre bee project. Interviews by Scare the Horses Curator Paula Crutchlow.
